At Sixth Scent, we want you to shop with confidence. This policy explains your rights and how returns and refunds are handled.

This policy applies to orders placed within the United Kingdom.


1. Your Right to Cancel (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

Under UK consumer law, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us in writing within 14 days of delivery by emailing:

Please include your order number in your message.

You then have a further 14 days to return the item(s) to us.


2. Order Cancellations Before Dispatch

If you wish to cancel your order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible.

If the order has not yet been processed or shipped, we will issue a full refund.

If your order has already been dispatched, you will need to follow the returns process outlined below.


3. Eligibility for Returns

To qualify for a return:

  • Items must be unopened, unused and in their original condition

  • The original cellophane wrapping and seals must be intact

  • Items must be returned in original packaging

  • Proof of purchase is required

Due to hygiene and health protection reasons, we cannot accept returns of fragrances that have been opened, used or where the seal has been broken, unless the product is faulty.

This does not affect your statutory rights if goods are defective or not as described.


4. Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns of:

  • Opened or used fragrances

  • Products with removed or damaged seals

  • Items returned outside the cancellation period (unless faulty)


5. Return Process

  1. Email us within 14 days of receiving your order.

  2. Wait for return instructions and the return address.

  3. Securely package the item to prevent damage in transit.

  4. Send the item back within 14 days of notifying us.

We recommend using a tracked service, as you are responsible for the item until it reaches us.


6. Return Shipping Costs

Unless the item is faulty or incorrect, you are responsible for return postage costs.

Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless the entire order is returned or the item is faulty.


7. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

We will issue your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, as required by UK law.

Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to process the refund.


8. Damaged or Faulty Items

If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photographs of the issue

  • A description of the fault

We may request the item to be returned for inspection.

If the item is confirmed faulty, we will offer a replacement or full refund, including reasonable return postage costs.

Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain unaffected.


9. Incorrect Items

If you receive an incorrect item:

  • Do not open the packaging

  • Contact us within 48 hours

  • Provide your order number and photographs

We will arrange resolution and provide instructions for return if necessary.

Items must be returned in original condition.


10. Free Delivery Threshold Adjustments

If your order qualified for free delivery and a return reduces the total order value below the free shipping threshold, we reserve the right to deduct the standard delivery charge from your refund.


11. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

If you wish to change an item, please return the original product (if eligible) and place a new order.
